Bio

I'm a novelist and poet emerging, sort of like a cicada, from a decade-long submersion in the "safe" side of life. Because of many personal crises occurring when I wrote my first book, writing felt very unsafe. Now I feel it's more unsafe not to write. My job on this earth is to tell the truth of what I see and know. Simultaneously there's a new twist: At 43, I'm attempting to get pregnant -- so I'm germinating new growth both physically and artistically. This journal is primarily about the infertility experience right now. I have no idea how it will develop or what shape it will become.
